The Transcendence of Yue

This is my contest entry for 's contest!!!! The theme was "Transcendence" and I've been wanting to draw my grown Yue! <3333 Well here's the story description that I wrote with this piece which also refers to the baby Yue picture...

"Yue, is a water dragon who found herself very lonely in the ocean. Swimming freely around one night, she looked up and saw a bright shiny light and surfaced herself curious as to what its source was. Her little head popped out of the ocean and called out to the night to see if someone was there, with hope that she had found a friend. She heard no answer but saw the pulsing of the light of the moon. It seemed to her as if the moon was talking to her. Happy with the company she tried to fly out of the water to see her new friend. But being such a young water dragon her wings were hardly developed and she was thus forced to stay in the ocean.

But every night, the determined little Yue always came up to the surface to see the moon and play with its light as if it was her playmate. Soon days turned into months, and months turned into years. The little Yue was no longer the young water dragon she once was. She has grown magnificently with her nightly trips up to the surface to visit her friend, the moon. Now powerful and fully developed, Yue now has the strength to fly out of the water and see her long time friend. It seems as if our little Yue has transcended both out of the water and in her life all thanks to the comfort of the lovely moon."
